How does middleware work?
Payment middleware is software that acts as a bridge between payment processing systems and websites. It allows e-commerce websites to accept payments from a variety of payment systems without needing to integrate with each one individually. It is responsible for securely transferring information between the two platforms. Payment middleware typically includes encryption, tokenization, and fraud detection algorithms, so this is handled by PayAdmit. The middleware also handles tasks such as currency conversion, recurring payment processing, and transactions with multiple payment methods.
